This book has my attention, finally something light to get me back into reading. One of my favorite Christian bands that had put my focus on God all those years ago. I'm excited for this as it was one of my favorite albums from them.

The 23rd Psalm is God's example to us that He will provide. We just need to trust Him. We live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) leads to the restoration of our souls. The rest of the Psalm is about the abundant victorious life God promises to all His sheep if we continue to listen to His voice and follow His footsteps. He is a Good Sheppard that keeps His Promises to us we shall not want...

A short chapter on En Gedi (David's Waterfall) an Oasis in the desert west of the Dead Sea.The place where David hid from his enemy.

Also the Abraham and Sarah story mentions the letter Hei or the H in their names when God changed them. He added the H to represent His creative power to accomplish the impossible. Now it's clear why David picked up the 5 stones because he needed the supernatural power that comes with the Divine Breath of God to punish Goliath to restore honor to the Divine name, and bring Shalom to chaos. Simply don't fear giants.

This chapter takes the story of David and Goliath to a whole other place I didn't see before. It's referering to the Hebrew Numeric Alphabet. The letter Hei is the number 5. Possibly referring to the 5 stones David had, or the Divine Breath of God that releases His Divine Power and Potential...

Ray Vander Laan a introduction on him and his story when he became a Christian. He was considered one of the greatest Bible teachers in the world.

I feel like God just transitioned my mind in this moment. He told me it's time to come back to me. This is what I need you to read. It's as if He was telling me you're trying to fill your life with things that will not fulfill you, but this My Living Word will...Come back to Me...the introduction pulled me right in where I need to be...

A lot of good intercessory prayer points in this chapter I'm going to go back through and use them. We need to be God's Watchmen on the hilltop. We need to build a prayer wall and be the Ezra's and Nehemiah's of today taking a bold stand in for righteousness. Only with God we can do it we must remind God of His Promises until He works it here on earth. We need to restore the watch of the Lord so the enemy can't enter

A very short chapter on who Jesus was and how we need to believe He can do all things we just need to have faith that He can do it. He can perform mighty deeds we just need to give Him all control in our lives if we don't that particular thing we want Him to do He won't do, just like the people of Nazareth. We cannot have a lack of Faith with Him.

Jesus did as His Father commanded he helped people, whether it was helping or curing people or driving out a mute spirit from someone who needed it. He never turned anyone away. He expected His disciples to do the same, to perform the same works as He did as a follower of Jesus...

Jesus, who He was a carpenter, he lived and preached in Jerusalem. When He prayed He went up mountains to pray. He went to the cross for us as God's Son and took it all for all mankind. He was innocent and never sinned but took on pain and went to the cross freely for us. In the end, Simon helped Jesus carry the cross beam...

A short introduction to God, that he is all infinite and how we cannot begin to comprehend how the creator of all the universe made all the galaxies from one speck of energy. How He was born and made flesh in Bethlehem. He took on our humanity and lived among us. He is the Image of The Invisible God (Col 1:15) The Imprint of God's Being (Heb 1:3) Whoever has seen me has seen the Father (Jn 14:9) Jesus is Immanuel...

A lot happens in this chapter could have been 2 chapters. They finally go to the authorities about some rugs in their apartment in the 8th district they are worth a lot. They get papers from this man to keep themselves safer than they are now. They go back to the apartment and realize everything is gone, and people are now living in there. Betty sees Ritchie while she can get away. She wants her future with him now.

The start of what we know of the war the families were taken from their houses and separated put together with other people in different houses. They could only take what
they could carry. They were told they couldn't take their valuables. The infamous yellow star
that all jews wore to embarrass them to show who the nazis hated. This was humiliation for them but they couldn't complain or risk being shot.

A very simple chapter how we have to be a church that is intense with our prayer time as God wants us to be His watchmen, the Magi who had come to see him also were watchmen. He wants us to call on him. He wants us to be a house of prayer, He wants for us to give Him no rest as we pray until our prayers are answered...

This was exactly the right time I needed to read this. God wanted me to see this today. His church is rising up as He is helping up and guiding us to intersession for others that we should be bold and ask for The Holy Spirit to come down and bless our church so that we
can have a church that is stronger in faith and its people to be in a spiritual maturity to know our prayers will be answered.

This chapter really shows how much Betty loved Ritchie and the things they would do together, never missing a single moment. Even though the war was going on, there was still love between them, and it was getting stronger. Ritchie wanted to do things the right way. There was a time when they were so in love Betty didn't care if they started their future now. They always talked about their future together...

I thought this chapter would be all about Betty and her boyfriend as this guy she has been seeing went on a romantic boat ride. They also had a snowball fight another day. She then would have to grow up as her father told her
she was to help her mother now. He was leaving for work he never told them what he was doing. Everything was a secret. He would help people get out of the country,and they hadn't heard from him.

The main character Betty talks about their new lives in Budapest and what they did on a daily basis. Her dad and his secret jobs he couldn'ttell anyone about or risk being turned in. Her mother and her day cooking jobs. Her and Ritchie getting to know each other from the activities they took part in. Her father sensed they were more than friends but didn't want to embarrass her. This was their new life.

Finally getting back to this book. This story is very similar to Anne Frank's story. This is set during World War II time. A family moving to safety led by the father. They left mostly everything they had behind. They only had a few things with them all that they could take and stayed with the grandfather, the mother's father, for a while before leaving for Budapest.

This book is grabbing my attention. It reminds me of when Anne Frank told her story. Except in this story, they had to change their identity and leave their old life behind and travel away from their home. Very similar though.

Finally, got into another book. I've been wanting to read this book for a while. This beginning chapter is about their famous song, Light My Fire. Not too much on it just goes through the song as it builds up to the climax and how that made listeners feel. They suddenly went into record stores to find the album to purchase...

This last chapter summarizes everything that he talked about in this book. If it wasn't for his mom letting him do what he wanted to do, he may not had been starting the band we know now as The Foo Fighters or Nirvana. This was a dream come true...after all he had been through he was playing to sold out shows almost every night.

A whole chapter on Dave working up the courage to play the song Blackbird by the Beatles at the Academy Awards, his daughter gave him the courage to do it. He talked a lot about how she worked up the courage to do her song at her school it was now up to him to play the song on live tv.

I felt like I was rushed through this chapter as Dave had to be at his Daughter's Daddy and Daughter dance and the same night fly out for a show with the Foo Fighters. You see all this happen as you're rushed through the story. The same night he gets food poisoning and he doesn't know what to do 20 hours in the air. His manager finds a doctor and Dave is treated in his hotel room and pulls off the show of 25 songs...

Another short and sweet chapter on the time when Joan Jett came to stay at Dave's house and recorded music with him. She also read to Violet, his daughter, just before going to bed. What an amazing experience that was.

Another chapter of Dave meeting super famous stars in music from Neil Diamond to Little Richard and what good people they are. Dave is a fan just like us. The ending really grounds you when he talks about Lemmy of Motorhead, who tragically passed and left a big hole in the metal community he was a great person. Very down to earth. He kept to himself and rocked till life took him away from us. Really good chapter...

A star studded chapter on the day one of Dave's amazing meet and greet parties, he got to have dinner with Paul McCartney and AC/DC just before he got to see them live in concert and a parade of New Orleans trumpeters a band he knew one of the members from he invited to the dinner.

Three things happened in this chapter could have been 2 chapters long. Dave was about to join a new band that was secret at the time Them Crooked Vultures. At that time, he was playing with the Foo Fighters and his new band. Jacked up on coffee that would land himself at the doctor's office. He met the president at the time and played on the White House lawn. He had another kid as well. This doesn't feel like reading
