Now this is funny. The Indian got so bored he was getting Omri in trouble, and Omri told him it was his fault for wanting to come to school with him. He was sorry he was in the dark most of the day, but if people saw him, he would be in big trouble, hurt, or killed. He finally understood and wanted Boone the Cowboy. He wanted to have someone to talk to he was bored, but Omri told him not to be loud.

The toys or little grown men have a man to man fight no weapons before eating breakfast. They are very demanding to Omri about what they want. This chapter Omri seems to think this is silly, but let's then go at it. They have a little fight and then he calls it a draw so they can get cleaned up for school.

Lot of action going on here the toys are starting to be trouble the cowboy and Omri's Indian were fighting. Little Bear is being very demanding and now wanting a wife as he now considered himself a cheif. He wanted to go to school with Omri because he knew Omri was taking the cowboy and his horse to school for Patrick and he wanted to go too. He saw no action during the day and sounds like he was getting bored.

Lot of action going on in this chapter Omri's friend Patrick started another situation that could have gone worse. He brought another toy to life after he had been talking about bringing little army men to life. Omri went down to get something when he came back Patrick was already turning the key and now the cowboy came back to life and was hurting him shooting him with his gun which was like a bee sting to him.

There was some real talk here on what men really deal with in our masculinity and how sin affects being a man in the world. God made us man and woman, and the world is trying to corrupt us in society, throwing off what it means to be a man. The enemy is trying to destroy our walk with God and our relationship with one another. Every man should be a leader in their own family, but there are those who still live in sin

There was almost a revealing Omri's brothers go into his room and see the longhouse and think he created it. It was a shock at first because Omri thought they were looking at Little Bear what would they say if they had. Little Bear already heard, and so he took the horse under his bed to hide from the brothers. It wasn't until they left the room and Omri and his friend saw Little Bear his friend couldn't believe it.

Omri comes back to Little Bear after being at school, and he tries to provide a friend for him, a chief, but this chief is so old he dies not long after he brought him to life. Little Bear ends up taking a few things from the chief for him to use for himself, and now Omri's dad notices he's been using tree bark and going through his stuff. Little Bear used it to build the longhouse for himself.

Now Little Bear was getting some attention to his leg he was needing to mend it. Omri placed a soldier in the cupboard and brought it to life. The little soldier's name was Tommy. He helped Little Bear because Omri convinced him he was dreaming and if he did this task, he could wake up again. It worked and the man helped him. He also gave him tools with a knight who had a knife that was of use he then became plastic.

Omri took Little Bear outside he asked him if he could find him some tools and a gun. The horse was also with him and when it was time to come inside, this is when Little Bear got hurt inside the box he was carried in. The horse got scared and ended up hurting Little Bear's leg.

Finally, the Indian was getting what he wanted he got his food, his meat, a horse. Omri had him choose just one because he didn't want a ton of horses running around his room. So he picked one and put it in the cupboard turned the key in the lock and the horse came to life. He now wanted to ride the horse, but he wanted to be outside. Omri told him, do as I say and you will be ok. If you ride off you'll be in danger.

I feel like I'm there with him. Omri is really getting it from the Indian since he has been alive he's been so demanding needing a long house to live in, but Omri gave him a teepee to live in to sleep. He provided him with food and drink, but in the morning, he would give him other things the indian wanted.

A book I read so many years ago as a kid and watched the movie. I decided it's time to reread it as an adult. It pulls me back to the innocence of a different time. Omri the little boy gets a cupboard for his birthday and a toy Indian that suddenly comes to life. I can see this in my head. My mind is being taken back to being a kid again.

Generosity is giving back every aspect of yourself back to God where it belongs. Whether it be your money, your prayers, your time, your effort, your reputation, your rights. It's worship to God giving it all away to God giving to His children. It's the ultimate act of worship to be generous. Seeking out ways to meet the needs of others and sacrificing to meet those needs. God entrusts us to give as a Holy Act.

A final chapter on new memories being made and a new house being built a new studio built where the tragic event happened now used to give God glory through Steven's music. Just a reminded to Steven that God always comes through He made His presence known and He gave them a new start, this was what he was supposed to do after he was having second thoughts but God came through and now his family was together again.

The final what seems like restoration of their lives and starting a new beginning. The house where the devastating event happened they decided needed to come down there was so much painful memories that were attatched to the house that they decided to bring it down and start a new life. That's when they started to see God move, and wow, did He really show them to SEE what He was doing. The house was now demolished.

Steven and his wife are now starting to heal together it's never going to be the same, but God has given them so much grace. They went on tour to talk about their journey through losing Maria. It was hard, but they did it together. Their daughter got married and he married them. Now they are witnessing new firsts as his daughter has now become a mother herself, and he is now seeing grandchildren, and God was there.

This was a chapter on Courage it was something that is based on the authors job as a cop at this time. The crazy things he witnessed and a chase that he writes about where this other new officer to the department had to gun down the criminal. Courage happens in the moment it is needed. An expression of your character at a moment of testing. Someone seeing something more valuable than themselves. It defends a victim.

This chapter has a lot to do with Steven and his wife getting back to the life they used to live. They went to counseling, and they realized that even a counselor couldn't fix what they were going through, even going to Hawaii to celebrate their 25th wedding, and they had a moment of happiness, but when they came back home they found that that cloud came back. But he had to realize it takes time to process the loss.

This chapter looks like Steven is getting back to looking at the bigger picture of remembering Maria by going back to China to go see the building that was built in honor of her, Maria's Big House of Hope. There was also an earthquake that had happened that devastated the city where it happened, and Steven felt that he wanted to go where it hit the hardest. It was like he knew how they were feeling with so much loss.

We see every person equal as a child of God and honor them. We enjoy seeing others praised even if we are forgotten. We forgive. Our lives are marked with patience. Our relationships are known for peace and unity. Lastly, we encourage others. We see humility as a virtue the only thing driving that is The Holy Spirit in a person humbling them. When you are humble God at the appointed time will exalt you. Rely on God.

He was happy to get the job God was showing him where he needed to be in life. God was trying to humble him, He was showing him he doesn't get his identity from what he has accomplished it all comes from God. Pride distorts our vision of how we see the world, it's our flesh and old nature. To be humble, we no longer compare ourselves with others. We don't seek recognition for ourselves...

Now this chapter really caught my attention on Humility. This man was a cop in the LAPD at the time of this book being released. He really was letting his pride get in the way of him coming to Christ and letting God guide his path. He was getting tired of the waiting period God puts us in. Eventually he would get out of this line of work and go into real estate it was a third what he was making as a cop...

Wow what a beginning to a chapter. This author was once a police officer and the scene he just described had to do with child abuse. That's all I'm saying. But it was the way he handled it was how he leads into the message of how we are in our Holy Nature and our walk with God. How we have to submit our flesh to God and also our addictions. We need to have godliness affection and love also knowledge and self control.

Sounds like Steven is finally getting back on track and getting out there again and touring in this chapter with Michael W Smith. He was finally getting back to a routine and was being taken care of every step of the way. He was also writing another album with the feelings coming out of something so tragic and how God has helped him and his family out of this moment of their lives to breathe once again...

I probably read this chapter about 3 times. What I'm understanding is it's mainly about the new and old covenant and how people are living in 2 worlds. The Old Covenant shouldn't be followed anymore. The New Covenant has come. I loved this part, which is so true of Christianity it's not a religion it's God's Truth and Foundation of Freedom. We place a label on it. it's not what it was, It's a relationship with God.

This chapter is on hearing the Voice of God we should be drowning out the other distractions in our lives when we come to God. Can we hear His voice clearly His soft sweet voice or as it says in scripture His still small voice. We need to get rid of temptation the sins of the flesh. We need to surrender all to Him. God's Will in what He tells us will always align with scripture. The enemy's voice will always be a lie

The moment when Peter denied our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I actually learned something I never knew that He took Peter back but it wasn't till Peter had the biggest breakdown and moment of dying to himself was when Jesus recognized that he finally let go and put his trust back in Him. As men of God, we have to deny ourselves and give God of our whole self we cannot do anything in our own power. Only in Christ.

We need to stay prayed up and have the full Armor of God on every day to defeat him. Once we are fully in God, he can't touch us because we are powerful for how God has protected us. He was a fallen cherub. When we fall slave to sin, we are asking him to destroy our spirit. This is not what God wants, but He did give us free will. We must fight in prayer to stop the enemy. We should not submit to our flesh...

This chapter was a focused chapter on the enemy, not before the author tells a story about when he was a cop and went into a jail to visit unarmed with a partner. What this has to do with anything, I'm not sure. The enemy has always played the same game since the beginning of history when he was thrown down to earth trying to mess with God's people. He has the same tactics he doesn't change. We need to be in God...

The Genesis account and how God said we shall multiply more than anything else. Also, how we are created in God's image. We want to do good, but we end up doing evil, we operate out of flesh, looking to the ways of the world. We tend to worship self in the end. We were made to worship God. We can be set free of all of this. Those who serve others are happier than those who don't. All this evil because of Adam and Eve
