Strange coincidence ... completely unplanned.

A book in this series is released every year in March and every time I end up reading it in a day and then hate myself because I'll have to wait a whole nother year for the next one. 😔

Oh well ... let's do this.

I often set books aside and I’ll find them later on my shelves with bookmarks still inside. I had no idea I’d read half of this already! Is that a good thing or a bad thing though ...?

I’ve never read a book that made me crave pies so much.

At this point I can already feel I'm gonna need to write a ranty review and that makes me sad. T_T

Not getting my hopes up too high but I'm also going to give this a fair chance.

This book makes me want a 🐴

I’m so glad I chose the kindle format for this book ... there are so many Russian words I have to look up.

❄️🌨️🌬️ We had blizzard conditions here today so I went looking for a wintry book to read after watching the snow fall all day. This just seemed fitting. 🌬️🌨️❄️

People aren't so good at being good to one another. We try hard enough, but something essential was left out in the making of us, some hard little patch of stone in the fertile soil that's supposed to be our hearts. We get hung up on the bad, and we focus on it until it grows, and the whole crop is lost.

I think this arc hits especially hard because everything was going so well.

Damn it, I'm 10 books behind again. 😣

Kind of interesting I couldn't remember how this started, with the sister of the main character cutting off his arms and leg to eat for his birthday dinner, and making him a cake using his fingers and toes as "candles." Either the rest of this volume was bland or I just have a really bad memory.

I don't even remember what happened in the first volume, which is never a good sign. I think I might have to actually re-read it 😣

Massacre Arc! This should be cheerful.

Tomitake lived for 9 pages this time. That's a new record! Last story arc it took him 25 pages to die.

It just feels right to read Higurashi this time of year.

The room felt so deliciously cold, so sweetly dark. One thought, one flick of his mind, one brief touch of the Black Jewels' strength and there wouldn't be enough left of that Warlord to be even a whisper in the Darkness.

I have a feeling he's going to regret not doing just that.

Damn it, this starts off dealing with the aftermath of Forever Evil. When will I get away from that story arc ...

Was going to read the Bishop book but didn't feel like it. Started a Batman graphic novel and got bored but then I remembered I'm behind on Gotham. Time to get caught up! Court of Owls ... yesssss. That's one of my favorite story arcs of all time, even though it's pretty new.

Anyone else get discouraged by the position of a bookmark? Like OMG I still have so much to read.
