I think I’m tapping out. It’s not bad, but it’s just… there. Way too many explanations and descriptions, and almost nothing has happened even though I’m a third of the way through the book. I love Conan, but this is feeling like a chore to go any further in

Can’t do it. I’m tapping out. It’s not bad, it’s just rough. Like the characters are okay, but it doesn’t feel like much is happening. Really wanted to get more into this due to the heavy music influence, but the rest wasn’t enough to keep me

This is really good so far. The High Republic is hitting on all cylinders at this early stage, hopefully they can keep it up

I can’t do it. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s written quite well. But no one is likable, and I’m having a hard time figuring out exactly what is going on. Just can’t do it at this time.

Having a hard time with this one. It’s not bad, but it’s just... there. The pacing is off, and the characters are thin. It’s kind of fun, but fun just isn’t enough to hold my interest right now

I have no idea what the hell I’m reading. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this old and out of touch. I’m going to solider on and see where this all goes

Having a hard time with this. I like the cast and it’s quite funny at points, but it doesn’t feel like the plot is going anywhere - might have to take a break and try coming back later

It's been such a long time since I read this, I probably won't remember what was there before and what's new in the Author's Preferred Text edition...

I am enjoying the overall plot progression, as the threads Salvatore have been building for years continue to tie together. But the pace is being severely hurt by the near-constant battle scenes. I'm finding myself skimming them more and more the further I get into the book

This is incredibly good so far. It's unmistakably a young adult novel in writing style and cast, but it's so very well done that I don't care in the least. I'm hoping it stays this good the whole time

Hopefully this will be the book to end this dry spell I've had since I had to study for my P&C exam. I absolutely adored Ready Player One. The reviews on this one are kind of lukewarm so far, though...

This book is crazytownbananapants. I barely understand what is going on at any given moment, there's so much crazy sci-fi terminology being thrown around, but damned if it isn't FUN. Let's see if it can keep that momentum going into the second half, as that's where most of my recent reads seem to falter

Very interesting so far. I like the idea of a middle-ages Batman who knows he's not getting any younger, but is trying to hide it through tech and reclusiveness. The mystery is intriguing thus far as well. Hopefully it all holds up in the second half
