Currently listening to this while driving to North Carolina and man, I'm hooked. A friend recommend I read this book simply based on the fact I mentioned Baba Yahoo in reference to a video game I play and I'm glad my friend did. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the story and how Ivan's life plays out in Tien.

"...honestly, who needs nine books to finish a series?" is probably the best line ever because it's so self aware considering "The Tyrant's Tomb" is the 14th book in the Percy Jackson series. Lol

If I'm being honest, the writing isn't much better than the 50 Shades of Grey series. I'm finding myself chuckling, laughing, snorting, and/or rolling my eyes at some of the phrases and quotes. Yet at the same time, I can't find myself putting the book down because I want to read more.

I'm also finding myself chuckling, laughing, snorting, and/or rolling my eyes at some of the lines. Yet at the same time, I want to know what happens next and find it hard to put the book down.

The punches keep rolling Aelin. There was one scene I was very surprised to read in the book, but at the same time I was happy to see that Aelin was able to enjoy herself for just a bit with all the craziness happening around her.

I mainly purchased this book to read with my summer camp kids because a lot of them love the Percy Jackson books, but I'm finding the stories inside this volume to be very entertaining. It's been a long while since I've read the stories of the 12 Olympians and the heroes, so this will be fun to rediscover the tales and relive the epic battles and quests.

Apollo has been and will always be my favorite god. To see him as Lester is refreshing and I love how we get a sneak peek into his mind and how he felt during his long existence. I'm also loving how Rick isn't shying away from the gay romances and feelings that Apollo had, but he's doing it in a tasteful way.

I picked up this book originally in September and was going to dive right on during that month's chapter, but like the procrastinator I am, I put it off for several months. I just recently remembered that I had this book sitting on my bookshelf and decided to give it a shot, even though I am a month behind. The meditation and writing exercises are very nice and I look forward to the coming months.

It doesn't matter how many times I read this series, I'll always find something I love about it and look forward to. Honestly Lestat is my favorite character and that's probably because he's a brat prince of a vampire. When I think vampire, Lestat comes to mind.
