What's that? You're finishing books? That's so last year. I'm just going to keep starting new books until I run out of bookmarks. And making bookmarks out of business cards, postcards, and whatever other random paper things I find. Until the pile of books I am currently reading falls over and crushes me.

There's some really lovely writing in this.

Readers, forgive me. It's been five days since I picked up any of these books. I'll buy some new ones this weekend and try to reform my wicked ways.

If this had been written by Tina Powers, it would be marketed as a Paranormal Romance. Uniquely penned from the perspective of the misunderstood bad boy with the heart of gold!

And once again I am reminded that yelling at a character to not do the dumb things they are insisting on doing DOES NOT WORK.

'Hello, love,' he said. 'I feel like experimenting in the bedroom.'

See? Totally is urban fantasy.

Is it weird that I recognize this man from this description? And was all "well, hello there."

One of my students read the back of this yesterday and asked if I was reading this because the description says "he's only killing rich white men." I'm not sure what to make of that.

Home is coming out this November. Must move the book it's based on up in the queue.

No I didn't. I marked it to-read. Goodness but this algorithm is worthless.

So far, much better than the previous Dresden books, but that's not exactly a high bar. I am really, really glad I put several months of space between this and the last thing I read with fallen angels, though.

Reading this is pretty much an exercise in me being constantly angry on Kat's behalf. I want to slap some sense into every person she's acquainted with and just take a machine gun to the crowds in public (read: male) spaces.

In other words, this is a pretty good read so far.

Dear goodreads, Ineffective advertising - trying to sell me a book you know I didn't like. Perhaps your algorithms should check to see if I already have read and rated a book before showing me an ad for it?

I think I'm going to put this one down. It's not bad, it's just not for me.

Really digging this. I have a feeling it's going to be over long before I'm done with it.

I'm somewhere in a long description of foam. The last three pages haven't had a single paragraph break. Time to swap back to the thing with the airship.

Why yes, I am starting yet another book. Even though I am already in the middle of seven others. And, of course, it is new and did jump the queue of ~370 unread books I already own or have borrowed.

The classiest response to a negative review of your book is to link to it on your blog and say how grateful you would be if someone could get it removed.

The most passive aggressive response to trolling comments on a negative review you have written is to delete them and make a vague status update alluding to this.
