WTF Goodreads. My profile is totally set to only receive messages from friends and yet I am receiving spam like "DMS! Here's a copy of my book! (It's like if Jenny Lawson gave love advice :)" from people I don't know.

I so LOL'd in chapter six, and so did my friend who is reading this at the same time. That was fucking great.

I do enjoy how consistently Finnikin is portrayed as a selfish jackass who fails to draw reasonable conclusions. Lucian's barely made it onto the page when he figures out something Finnikin should have at least considered possible months ago. Jesus, Finch, how the fuck did that never cross your mind? The rest of us have been wondering if it was true since your first visit to August and certain since your last. Idiot.

So, my last update? Two pages from where this turned awesome.

I've read so many positive reviews of this, but so far it's mostly "annoyed boy is annoyed again" with an occasional bit of badassery by the barefoot novice.

So far this is pretty fantastic.
