TBH I am not liking this at all. I don't like the term "little one", I don't like the constant "my Indian" thoughts.... do. not. like.

Not sure how I feel about this, really.

The sex scenes are a bit weird and I really don't like how this narrator reads them.

Also, please by the grace of any fucking deity that will listen stop comparing heroines body types to other women's body types like it's a competition. Thick, thin, curvy, coltish - I only need the descriptions, not the body-shaming tag ons afterwards.

So far the writing is okay but the editing is problematic.

Barrons had just given me the most carnal, sexually charged, hungry look I'd ever seen in my life, and I was pretty sure he didn't even know he'd done it.

I have never read/heard anything so accidentally hilarious as a man reading both the male and female dialogue in a sex scene.....

CQ has been filming as an extra in futuristic Indie all night for the last two days.... you would think that would give me plenty of time to read but instead I've been curling up with a glass of wine and watching trashy movies.

Likely she would have incurred scorn and derision from her friends and family for giving water to an Indian; perhaps she would have been punished. Yes, there was steel beneath the velvet skin and soft-spoken words. And he admired that most of all.

This book is scary sexy!

When I looked up "confused and horny gif" in the google this came up..... so I had to share.

This is sooooo much better than BLOOD MOON!

And *that's* how fast a rumor flies..... and how quickly it veers off track. Wowza.

There seems to be a bit more kissing going on.... but also weird extra POVs and a rapist/potential murderer mysteries..... it kind of feels like this is trying to be ALL. THE. THINGS.

But mostly it's just boring...

Sam and Prairie haven't even kissed yet.... this is not *my* ecstacy.

I was so lucky yesterday with my request for an on the cheap book for my 2018 Romance Challenge category "Virgin Hero" (thanks again, Ana!) that I thought I might try with a few others I'm finding challenging too:
