This is an interesting story but it was clearly written in a different time. Also, it feels obvious to me that the female character was written by a man. I find it very hard to believe that any female would feel like she had to keep cooking for a man (practically a stranger) after what he did. She is naive for sure but it feels more like what a man would think a girl should want to do rather than what she would do.
