100% on audiobook. The epilogue gave me a lot of closure for the characters. He forgave his mom and got together with the love interest. Chiamaka got a girlfriend, became a doctor, and is having a kid. The headmaster is dying and the school is done for. Jamie died in the fire too. He was a psychotic fuck. The book showed how far systemic racism reaches.

Ur dead mom is there for 2 days, go see her. But Yads’ trans experience reflected my own b/c it’s a passive thing that you just deal w/. & it can be a big issue, but it’s not the only thing that matters. There’s a person outside of the trans identity.

(100%- Audiobook) this was odd. Good then bad then good then bad then good. Like the turns in plot were strange. U thought u knew where it was going, then the mc just stabs a kid in the hands w/ a pencil in the middle of class. He also let Sawyer possess him & brutally kill someone. & Jake is just doing fine after this??? Wtf. I liked Jake was constantly seeing things that only he could see. The gay part was odd too.

(Chapter 27/27) GOD THAT WAS A GOOD BOOK. IT TICKLED ALL THE TELEPORTATION SHIT I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED. He got the boy, they’re cute tog too. + they get to travel the world together during their gap year using his teleportation. That’s actually so cool. The book was very high school, new powers, gay, beautiful. The ASL was a nice touch. 👏 👏 👏 Slay. I wanted to see him tell Alex tho.

I like how they’re out and not deadnamed in the book. I wanna see the parents’ reactions so bad to finding out their delusional kid is completely correct about all the horrifying shit they’re seeing.
