A big shame that MMC’s emotions have already gotten the better of him, and it only took 2 chapters… big big shame.

Also a big shame to see the state of the world in such a short time that he has been away.

That Prague Incident

2/5. She is way too in love with him. A bit overbearing. I wanted to just play the game and learn what happened to him. Not listen to hear fawn and imagine her knees getting weak to every 4th sentence he says.

Finally catching up to the series

Chapters 21-25:

The way the villains in this book have been portrayed is very interesting, and there is so much more than we know.

And also for all I despise Prince Regal, he is a very smart man.

Chapters 16-21:

Things are getting spicy and the Fool is being disrespected. #justiceforthefool.

I don’t have much to say other than as before, girls cloud men’s thoughts too easily.

Chapters 10-16:

The Fool deserves more respect. And I know he will get it.

However, this collection of chapters has made me notice a common trend among young, male main characters. Why do girls always become their undoing?

One day I will find a series where a boys mind might not be clouded and he makes foolish decisions on his own accord. SIGH

Chapters 6-10:

Oh BOY this wolf is dangerous and I love it. I am going to foreshadow in absolute hope that MC and the wolf get caught out but accepted and they become a duo.

Especially after the revelation with the Queen who I absolutely love

Chapters 1-5:

Major contrast to the first book. We just straight into it. It’s good to see the recovery of a few characters, as well as the introduction of the wolf cub hinted at the end of the last book.

This should be very interesting.

Chapters 13-18:

Oops I was too engrossed I forgot about this.

Spoiler alert btw.

MC is getting screwed over and tricked. It’s pissing me off that he’s got the Skill and is blind.

Gah!

Chapters 9-12:

Lady Patience is the type to be my favourite character. And our enemies have been revealed, but I don’t think I’m going to like it when they come into the story.

Chapters 5-8

Woooo we have progression… finally 😅!!!

This of course means more world and character building for new places and people, and I am picking up on a theme.

I think it’ll be better in the latter half of the book where I know the characters and the landmarks, and then we can just focus on story.

Chapters 1-4

Lots of character building. Quite slow but reasonable. Im liking them all so far, and im glad we finally have some story progression.

But the language is really tough to get my head around. But in due time, I will be fluent in poor English. LOL

A step back in time for this one

Part 2:

Properly into the swing of things now, but I really don’t want it to end and have to wait AGAIN for the next book.

Our lovely little Inter-country travel has been quite… jaw dropping at times, specifically in these last few chapters.

Am I ready to close out the book? No. But I must persist.

P.s. something isn’t sitting right with me right now and I KNOW I’m right. But I need to be patient.

Part 1:
Oh how I love to be back here again.

But we need to talk. Specifically Samantha.
How dare you do this to me. I could imagine this was a movie trilogy and if movie 1 ended on this cliffhanger I think I would pass out.

Other than… whatever tf this is… I’m loving it. Character reunitings are lovely, and I’m really liking the new characters. Anyway, I’m continuing.

Part 4: A Dance in a Forgotten Place

Holy shit this is everything I’ve wanted with this book.

Part 3: Echoes in the Past

Not a fan of this one. Too much focus on one part. I get it, I do. But there is so much going on in the book and then this part shows up and it’s just like????????

Part 2: Memories

Necessary background knowledge. But I didn’t expect to lose someone already. Hugo is a d**k, The Woman is ferocious. Drummond… idk.

But this book has left us in a pretty big pickle right now so I am excited.

Part 1: Doorways

This has the possibility of being greater than great. The Book of Doors is mega cool. And I love that there is so much possibility with everything else.
I assume there are two main characters here, and I am heavily invested in both of them. Specifically The Woman. I need more of The Woman.

Part 2:

I am starting to follow this a bit better, and it’s actually pretty interesting.

But I do have to say that I’m still confused since more and more things just keep getting added.
