Melanie Page is on page 357 of 750 of American Gods (American Gods, #1)
I just read a section set in the US with US characters in which they use the words "flat" and "trolley," but to make up for it a character tells a story and uses the words "vee-hicle" and "two-b'-fours."

Some of the images in this book are just a millimeter off base, which drives me insane because my husband is reading the book out loud for our "bedtime stories" and I have to keep asking him to re-read passages or sentences.

Melanie Page is on page 189 of 288 of Maxie Mainwaring, Lesbian Dilettante (Career Girl)
This dive into lesbian career girl life is a bit harder because there are so many characters, which is why Nick's and my "bedtime story" is taking forever.

Hi, everyone! I'm running a book giveaway at my blog for Jen Michalski's new novel, The Summer She Was Under Water. The instructions say you have to have a book blog, but if you have a Goodreads account, I'll take that, too! Here are the instructions: https://grabthelapels.com/2016/10/26/...

This is slow reading, but then he says something so funny... Also, this is one of the books I'm reading aloud to my husband.
