I'm not sure I want to finish this audio book. I almost threw up in my car today.

I'm not sure how the voice actor could make white girls sound anymore valid and stereotypical. Just drag out every vowel as long as possible, lady, like it's 90s Valley girls. *smh*

Woop, I'm going to have to put this one on pause even though I got through three chapters and it's amazing. I found a copy of next month's book club pick on CD from the library and have to listen to that first.

I'm still working on a book I said I would finish in January! Ack!

So far, I'm just not connecting with this book. :/

I wish people would stop using the term "body positivity" to describe Dumplin' by Julie Murphy. It's a term that was started by fat women carve out a space for self-love that was co-opted by everyone who has a body and has felt flawed. It's a fat positive book, not a body positive book, and it's not completely positive because it's narrated by a 16-year-old girl.
