Normally I don't like books told in multiple POVs (because it gets confusing), but so far I'm really liking this, and I think it seems to work here. Hopefully this is the 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 five-star read I've been searching for since the year started.

I'm almost there, but I'm getting real tired if the unreliable narrator lol. I don't think I can guess what the big twist is, but I do hope I'll be (mind) blown away as most people here.

How can you get calls from your own number, your own phone? This part is not very believable, but I'll carry on. This is also giving me Get Out (the film) vibes though, maybe just the "road trip to meet the parents for the first time" part.

I was physically in pain as I read this. I can’t imagine being abandoned like that, or abandoning your kids the way her mother did. Who does that?!!!

Interesting premise, very slow start. I'm thinking this one gets exciting at 60%. All the horse betting talks bore me. 😑

Not exactly a page turner but has been interesting so far. The writing is impeccable though.

This is why I'm bad at reading suspense/thrillers, because I always try guessing the big plot twist, and when I happen to be correct, it kills the shock value for me. 😂🙃

Redundant. He says the same thing over and over, keep rubbing in reader's face that he trained MJ, Kobe, Wade. It will not get better, but work is work.
