Slowly making my way through this mammoth of a book. What a great way to view the 19th century (through the eyes of the man who epitomised the late victorian character). History is seldom as straight forward as it is taught in school.

Salisbury is supremely quotable! "The axioms of the last age are the fallacies of the present (...) the principles which save one generation may ruin the next." (p. 63)

This is a book for those of you who want to make a movie but perhaps are afraid of failure. It is written in a upbeat and funny American manner. I really love it! I feel inspired and want to go out to film something! (Nobody can stop you once you make your mind up)

A book on prospecting and common sensical advice for sales people. Worth reading so far.

This is a biography on Ingmar Bergman which focuses mostly on his private life. There is a lot of gossip here which is supported by diary entries and as well as second hand literature. But I am still wondering: why did Bergman choose to do theatre all of a sudden? Why not be a writer? And how did he manage to convince people that he was a director when he had no prior experience?

This book is a modern version of the ancient teaching of non-duality. I have been following Spiras talks on youtube and therefore look forward to reading this rather short and concise overview of what it means to be aware of being aware.

Interesting portrait of a complicated political figure whose career helped form the modern world.

Good and thorough look at the work of Aristotle (but a bit too dry at times)

I have finally found someone who can articulate my own views on literature. Very uplifting!
