I enjoy reading Gottfried and find that his views on the managerial state actually manage to make my own thinking a little clearer. At times however I feel that he goes into too much detail and that he therefore loses the reader.

Perfect companion piece to Steven Pinkers latest book Enlightenment now. Sommers provides an intruiging defense of honor (a virtue neglected by most philosophers).

A good book to read if you wish to lose weight or live a more healthy life.
At its core is the view that one should not only focus on calories, instead the focus should be on how many nutrients are in a specific food per calorie.

An interesting take of science and its reach. Deutsch is just like a modern day Popper!

Better than I thought so far! Interesting blend of philosophy and science.

This optimistic book is quite timely (given the pessimistic nature of our culture). There is however a lot to take in and I find myself in disagreement with Pinkter on a few points. Will write a review shortly.

A lot of information to take in. But so far a very inspiring book (although I am not quite convinced by all Pinkers arguments)

So far its probably the best book I've read on mindfulness.
