Hmmm...reading the reviews and amnesia trope 😬

The first time I DNF was because I had a book high from the previous book, and I wasn't immediately pulled in. My spidey senses are going off because I like MMCs in control of their situations, who are dominant in their power and strength and unrepentant bad people. This MMC seems whiny and seems to be controlled and redeemable

The writing isn't for me. It's kind of telenova dramatic 🙄

Whenever I start Cinderella retellings I always wait with baited breath until the FMC's age is revealed

First time I felt Hailo's banter was cute.

Tyson's dad was right in how he advised the power to be put down but Ty's anger over the situation was justified.

I'm not going to lie, Hailo taking that money from her ex, who she knows is a distributor, is a bad look. Makes me feel like she has shakey morals. That money wasn't hers to take just because her fiancé cheated on her. Breaking up, calling off the marriage, and moving out was enough. She gets ton of sideeye

I hate when people say someone is dead when they aren't just because and I quote "they are dead to me!" and say it with a straight face.

Which is why I typically don't read sudden baby trope romances. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I don't want back and forth. I want a consistency in the romance narrative

I really hate that we keep getting these hints, but I feel like it isn't going anywhere. Like, oooh, there's this "deep super duper dark secret," but it's all hype.

FMCs getting tattoos also bore me. Maybe it's the way the interest and scene plays out here.

Something about this book that feels young adult, but I can't pinpoint how or in what way.
