FMC is aggy already

Whew this book seems long. I also hate vacation spot books so hopefully this section will end soon.

After reading certain books, it becomes harder to go back to stories with perfect FMCs. It's a layer of boring that I find I can't turn off 😄.

The most terrifying book I've read all year doesn't involve a monster, pyschopath, or rapist but the police force. Seeing Mecca and Sim fall into a deep soul bond has been sweet

Getting a romance and straight Black culture topics. Love it here....out of all my reads relating to crime/crime families this book is one that actually scares me and none of the mains are criminals are involved in crime. The situations being mentioned is truly frightening

I didn't like the way "sista" was used 😏. It was said like "I need your license and registration vibe.

I don't know why she's so bent out of shape. I know people have protocols but I'm so happy he's standing up to reason. Her position with the city shouldn't mean she gets to break rules. We should consider how we are protecting babies.

I know this is meant to be a meet-not-so-cute but I genuinely am struggling to like the FMC. The way she talked to the nurses and doctor was rude and disrespectful. Then she pulls the "Do you know who I work for?" card, and that rubs me the wrong way. She should be glad that the medical staff was concerned when seeing an abused/neglected baby and doing protocol to keep the baby safe.
