The story seems decent but the supernatural crime world building is really throwing me off.

I just don't get why we are here at 44%. Some of this should have been established way earlier in the story. The FMC is still weary, and unless the action, smut, and romance was going to amp up by the next page, I mind as well call it🥴

I tried. The FMC being like 20 took me all the way out. I kept reading because I'm a fan of the show Poker Face but yeah 20

90% of the things that are issues wouldn't be issues of she just properly communicated

At some point homegirl has to realize she's the cause of her problems because she's being a lying lair who lies

Getting to 55% of a book and stalling out is 😮‍💨. I kind of wish there was more going on with Nathan. I just feel like the last 20% of the book has been covering the same emotional landscape

Nah....it's the lack of depth to their conversation. They keep having the same no communication drawback at 50% as they had at 30%, and that's frustrating

I was hoping the damn would break by now but no. Not even sharing one bed trope got these two to hook up 🤦🏾‍♀️
