The blurb promised me a hurricane. It was a barely described and barely there tropical storm. 😒 that’s sad since it’s all that might’ve saved this for me. Unfortunately, this feels like it was written by a teenage virgin. No steam, mega cringe.

I’m honestly mostly here for the hurricane 💁🏾‍♀️😅

This feels more like two adults taking in a troubled youth than three full adults coming together for a relationship.

So far we’ve got misunderstood sex workers and pornographers with hearts of gold, too many friends with too many dramatic backstories, and some conversations that sound scripted/unlike real human interactions. 🙃🤗

This book is …weird. I’m definitely more invested in Avery’s survival quest than the supposed “romance” bt Jack and Calder. One is in the closet and ashamed of his interest in dudes, and the other is just orgasming out some fear and anxiety over his missing ex. 💁🏾‍♀️

TOD. I just can’t anymore.

Pretty sure I’ve taken about all I can of this mess. So far, one mc behaves nothing like a real human would and being solely in his head is annoying af. The other MC we know next to nada about. And the level of insta love here is insane. 🙄👎🏾

I came strictly for the ambiance of forced-proximity
-by-snowstorm that wasn’t overtly holiday themed and am hella disappointed. Not only in how little the snowstorm played into this (barely at all) but in the romance itself.

LOL you’d think this whole world was the size of a city block with how easily people run into who they need to or into someone intimately connected with someone else in their world. It’s ridiculous but amusing

I’m dreading finishing this 😭 even though I can guess who and what the next one’s about and am not overly excited, it doesn’t even have a release date yet and there’s nothing on my TBR or in KU’s recommendations that clicks rn. 😩

Corny and cartoonish are what come to mind rn.

💡 you can probably tell how cliche and cheesy a romance is gonna be if you search “growl/ed” when you start; the more there are the worse it’s likely to be. 🤔💁🏾‍♀️😆

It’s just so cringe-worthy. 😖🙄 cheesy dialogue, cardboard MCs, and meh side characters (I still vibe with the slothiness of Gray, but why this author turned a millennia-old half angel into essentially a 6 year old boy is creepy af and beyond me). Making it through this one will be an accomplishment, so the series is for sure wrapped for me after this.

It hasn’t gotten better really, but for some dumb reason I’m determined to finish it. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️😆

Making it to 50% in this one almost felt like a chore, and that bums me out. This is definitely my least fave so far (order: 2, 1, 3.5 & 3 are almost tied, 4) …maybe it’s bc we had to rehash previous convos and encounters from a (not that) different perspective or bc I’m not buying their romance or bc Rig’s horny idiocy is causing me stress. Sigh.

Umm Cutter’s a dick, and I too love the monsters we’ve met, but shut your infant ass up about how he -or anyone- shouldn’t still be bitter that the world got invaded by deadly otherworldly creatures and their lives basically ended. Love ya, Rig, but a big FU on that. 🖕🏾💁🏾‍♀️🤗

I’m bored and not feeling this. It’s super eyeroll-inducing in parts; the one sex scene so far was short and bland; and Galen (H1) feels like the Great Value half-angel version of every other asshole “alpha” dude ever written. 🤷🏾‍♀️ meh.

LOL I take that back. I’ll remember Gray/sloth. Cat ear hoodies, just wanting to be cozy, and falling asleep wherever? I vibe. 😅😂

Feeling like the odds are slim to none that I’ll be able to keep up with which brother is which sin. It also feels a bit exposition heavy in places. I do like that Simon is average and is neither super hot and cut nor twinky. I’m far from hooked though, so I hope it gets better since I could use another series to get lost in.

I had to take a break from the Monstrous series so I didn’t just speed through it and end up sad when it was over😆, and this sounded good but it’s not quite hitting the spot yet. 😕Here’s hoping that changes. 🤞🏾

One of my only peeves with this is the author’s overuse of “low” to describe sounds. Feels like there’s a low growl or snarl or general throat sound every few paragraphs 😖

Ya know, I should probably read TWs when I start books bc I was wholly unprepared for torture in the middle of my omelet 😅💁🏾‍♀️ I still ate it tho 🤷🏾‍♀️😂🍳

Around 75ish% it feels like we went from a romance to a low-budget action thriller, and it wasn’t a welcome change. Now I’m skimming.

If ever there was a character who would benefit from a blade to the carotid, Maksim’s that guy 🤗
