the pacing of this book is really weird and it can’t seem to decide what the real plot is

gods this book is long

okay there is finally a plot and it seems interesting

i really do not like the VA doing this audiobook, she’s doing this weird fake raspiness and the character voices are very bad

honestly i can appreciate this as a character study type of novella. in a way it’s kind of beautiful, even though it’s uneventful

still really nothing happening but it’s been nice background noise while i clean

nothing is happening and i am getting the sense that nothing will

honestly this is gripping

time flies when all the characters are horny as fuck

okay this is one of my favorite parts in the book, this battle scene and then then the meeting

honestly i like these books judge me all you want im not saying they're good but i am saying they are thoroughly enjoyable when you just let yourself enjoy them for what they are

okay it has occurred to me that i need to re-read the last book before reading ACOFS and ACOSF because there is way too much I don't remember from this book

this author just referred to the word normie as a SLUR this is AWFUL

this writing style is so millennial and so british and not enjoyable but i will do anything for a crumb of wlw representation:(

this is legitimately one the worst things to ever exist why is the writing lIKE THAT

this book took me a while to warm up to tbh, bc i dont find the premise all that interesting but now i think i like it

some thoughts: when a backstory is already sad, you don't need to keep adding little details to make it worse slipped in throughout the book and also why is this authors sense of time so weird?? this character went to sleep (not passed out, just asleep) in a room, scene ends. the very next paragraph shes being woken up by the consequences of the past scene but three days later with no transition it was so confusing

so little time to listen to audio books lately :/

im not usually a sci-fi person which is why this took me so long to get around to reading but it's really good honestly

this book has no business being this good

im liking the style but i cannot for the life of me figure out what is up with authors who just describe characters as "Black" or "White" so frankly AND NEVER ANY OTHER RACE? its so stark?? and WHERE IS EVERYONE ELSE??

i want a goodreads but for gaming. but like in a wholesome way, not the 'i am a man who loves war a rape simulation because im a violent misogynist' way, i just wanna update my spiritfarer progress and talk about art yfm

DNFing for now because ADHD will not let me read new books rn, just re-read old ones :(

i don't get why people think this is the boring book of the trilogy, i love this one
