I just don’t like this series of hers: the first book with Wilder, didn’t finish Fred’s book, and am feeling very blah and almost disgusted with Georgie? I get that Luca’s not giving her much to work with, but she drools over him every single time he shows up. I get it-he’s hot. Can we move on? There are scenes that should’ve been cut out because it’s not necessary to the plot. Like swimming. Wth?

It’s so cheesy. The ‘hot’ steamy kisses are so random. Harper has no personality and is just miraculously the best fighter and tactician out of no where. Oh wait, she’s the ‘protector’ type with a dead sister back on Earth. There’s more pages written about pre- and post- battle than the actual fight.

Ryder’s supposed ‘betrayal’ is so fake and Willa is SO selfish and immature, making it all about her. I found myself skimming the last 5%, not a good sign. Yeah I might not be able to finish this one. I’d rather go re-read Kulti or anything else by Mariana Zapata or Rachel Grey.

I’m guessing at percentages because Ann says she’s dropping two chapters a month through December 2021. My calculator app says 1/12=0.833 so, I’m going with 8% I’ve read so far. I’d love to be proven wrong. (Like I hope there’s an epilogue if not epilogues!)
