I think what’s triggering me is this ‘crazy’ ex trope. Mental health shouldn’t be weaponized to justify or strengthen the legitimacy of the main character’s ‘love story.’ The number of actual psychopaths out there is very few and are very normal intelligence wise. They’re not a bunch of savants.
