I leave a few decent reviews of lesbian romances and suddenly my inbox is flooded with free copies of a bunch of lesbian and gay romances to review. Not sure if the reason is because I am a hetero male, or because I left fairly positive reviews.

Interesting lesbian urban fantasy.

For me, I like Anita to do more as s kicking and less focus on their bedroom companios.

So this book started out better with Anita being a marshall, but then nose dived in to more bedroom menagerie hijinks. A bit disappointed.

It has been a while since I read an Anita Blake book. Glad to see more emphasis on Anita's marshal status and less on her lover menagerie.

Catching up on some of the free romances I picked up. At least having to work from home has some benefit - I can read more.

So I picked this up on the suggestion of another reader. I started reading holding my nose expecting a real turkey filled with prurient scenes. I was expecting a cross between Conan, Xena, Gor and some of the truly trashy harem fantasy stories I have read lately. So far decent action, no sex yet other than some voyeurism, and good action and character development.

I grabbed this on the dubious recommendation of someone on a Discord channel I am on. Surprisingly good so far. If you are a fan of SciFi horror such as Alien, Dead Space, etc. you might give this book a shot.
