Pacing is a little weird, Xio is just Nico, and his chapters are kind of boring, but I'm enjoying myself overall. The conversations being had make the conflict less black and white, I just hope it concludes nicely.

Okay, so Morgan/Morgan's family are definitely the Blood Witches, right? Plus, what exactly makes Blood Witches so bad. It seems like witch magic is innate. Therefore, it's like natural to them. Getting magic taken away from Elemental Witches is a punishment but seems to be the only solution for Blood Witches. Lemme know if I have that right...

While I am enjoying this, I've found a few typos and like general stuff that doesn't make sense. Still fun though

I don't fully understand the purpose of Ester's chapters, like, I wish we could see that stuff when Bennie and Motheater do... But other than that I think I'm liking it

I don't remember there being a caste system in the first book, it kinda felt like that just popped up and became super relevant, but I could be wrong. It makes sense with the worldbuilding.

Finished Act 1, still getting used to the writing style and some of the same things from the first book still bug me (Tal pining after Rayyel, slow paced, basically interconnected side plots), but I'm still liking it. Gonna take me a but though...

I'm confused but I like it. I do have some questions that feel like they could reveal plot holes but also could be explained in the second half. Thus far, the synopsis is nothing like the actual meat and potatoes

This book confuses me. Why are they kissing so often? Nothing quite makes sense. I am entertained though...

Debating DNFing here. There's a lot of reference to sex and sexual violence, like every other page, and that's just putting me off. I might give it another 100 pages or so and see if it gets any better because there is getting to be more of a plot. Still, I haven't been hooked, so I'm gonna sleep on it.

Jumping between how many days before Convergence is kind of confusing, but I'm having fun. I find Serapio and Xiala the most interesting and am interested to see how these plots converge.

My interest is piqued. Little confused about the time changes but I always am so whatevs.

I have a larger appreciation for how the movie condensed this book. God golly, it's long. I'll try to finish tomorrow and begin drafting soon.
