I'm liking this so far. The dynamics of the court are very interesting, and I do enjoy Ódòdó and Àrèmọ's complex relationship and am curious to see where it goes. I am a little bit confused as to why unmarried women become blacksmiths and are therefore considered witches, sure, it's pretty cultural and you kind of just have to roll with it, but I'm surprised it hasn't been touched on more so far

I do find Laura's chapters boring, which is a shame.

As much as I love the fact that everyone is super protective of Hanalei as soon as she returns, it does cheapen her exile a little bit, like, she could've just come back at any time.

While I'm liking this, Grimm's (such a stupid name, I'm sorry, be creative, I beg) attitude towards the curse is so annoying because he isn't really affected at all and constantly turns down Leo's attempts to find a cure and seems confused why he wants to get rid of it quickly, like duh dur man I'm sorry

Fun fact the only other time I've read this trope, it was in a Voltron fanfiction and that fanfiction has done it better so far... I need more angst me thinks

Also, the flavor text has quite literally nothing to do with each chapter and just sounds kind of cool, which is a very interesting choice because it gets my hopes up only for nothing all that interesting to happen...
