رضوى فقط تجعل من التفاصيل شيئاً أجمل....

I withdraw what I said earlier. This man knows what he's talking about. I know that I never read any of his novels (not a fan of such genres), but I really am enjoying this book so far. It really gave me a push. His stories "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption" are the basis of two amazing movies in the history of American cinema. The man knows how to direct one to write a good story, period.

Not really my type of book so far, but I'll carry on. To be honest, I might be too biased towards the British style of things. Thus, I find some of the slangs and terms in this book hard to understand.
Some of the images are... or I'll keep that to myself.

لا أعرف إن كانت الترجمة السبب، أم أن أسلوب الكاتب جاف جدًا... الفكرة رائعة، ولكنني أشعر بأنني أقرأ مقالة لا رواية...

Reading Dostoyevesky's novels over and over again is never a waste of time. I am biased when it comes to him.

مَنْ يقرأ النقد على هذه الرواية باللغة الإنجليزية سيلاحظ فرقاً لا يُخفى بينه وبين نقد اللغة العربية...

هناك نضوج أكبر في رواية بثينة الأخيرة "خرائط التيه"....

قلبي يكاد ينخلع من وطأة الألم... لا أدري إن كنت أستطيع المتابعة...

رومانسية لطيفة لطيفة جداً :) "لا..إن الرجل الذي تتصوره، الذي سيحبها وتحبه لن يكون كصدقي ولن يكون كأبيها أيضاً ولا كأي رجل قابلته حتى الآن"... حلم الفتيات المعتاد.

As a brother, a landlord, a master, she considered how many people's happiness were in his guardianship! How much of pleasure and pain it was in his power to bestow! How much of good or evil must be done by him!

جذب نظري رمزية الشخصيات و المسميات..لا أدري إن تقصد الكاتب ذلك أم لا، و لكنتي متشوقة لمعرفة سبب هذا الخراب.. و لم هو طائر لا شيء آخر مثلاً؟ ((طائر الخراب))..

هناك أشياء يجب أن يعرفها الإنسان بنفسه، و إذا قالها شخص آخر، فإنها تغدو بلا معنى...

كان يلزمنا قلوباً أكبر كي تتسع لكل هذا الأسى...

بعد الصفحة الـ 100، بدأت الرواية تصبح مشوقة نوعاً ما، و لكن لازلتُ عند رأيي بأن إبراهيم يكتب الرواية كأنها مقالة لا رواية أدبية...
