2 hours in and the only thing I can say so far is that I'm confused by all these many characters. Story-wise not much has happened so far...

There has been quite an interesting plot twist earlier on but what's really bugging me is that the main character is such a boring observer who never acts by himself...

Done! I absolute LOVED the first half but I have to admit that later on I sometimes lost interest in the story. Also I'm not fully satisfied with the ending but nonetheless it was still absolutely worth the read.

This is just like the Martian! (if Mark Whatney was a whiny loser that would just wait for his death instead of rocking Mars on his own)

Really liked this trip to Finland, although the ending was a bit too superficial in my opinion.

Great sequel with an intense atmosphere and not as absurd as the first one

I'm just ridiculously happy right now that this book didn't disappoint me after all these months of waiting. I'm not sure if I can say that it is better than RPO but personally I enjoyed it even more because I'm more the space & aliens guy than the video games nerd, which means there were more references that I could understand :D

Nooooooooo D: I don't think I'm ready to finish this book right now...

There's one thing I know for sure: should I ever face an alien invasion, I will not be listening to a Scorpions (!) song to get me in the mood for fighting back :D

I only just discovered that the whole "Raid the Arcade" mix is listed at the end of the book *heads to Spotify and adds the titles to his QComm… eh phone*

This conspiracy is SO cool, I almost wish it was real. Oh wait, this would be very bad for Earth :D

Ernest Cline's books make me want to be a 45-year-old nerd that has spent the 1980s doing nothing but playing video games and watching SciFi movies just to get ALL THE REFERENCES (besides: what the fuck did just happen? :D)

I've waited about 2 years for this book and now that it's finally out I almost don't dare to start it because I'm so afraid that I won't live up to my super high expectations... BRING IT ON, ERNEST!

I love that I'm getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the evil powers in Wayward Pines work and the level of surveillance is really scary

Interesting and unexpected ending but I'm not sure if I actually like it and find it satisfying enough...

I can totally understand when somebody finds this book boring but I just love all this maritime stuff and find marine biology super interesting so that I'm enjoying every single minute :)

So much has happened all over the world already and I've not even reached the middle of the book. I'm beginning to wonder how this story can last another 400 pages... (btw: it's nice that there's a world map that briefly shows the stages of this road trip, but a detailed map of Pacifica would have been more much helpful in my opinion)

I have no idea how this could get any weirder than the first one but I hope the book can still surprise me ^^
