I completely forgot that the release date of the English edition of the 4th book in this series was already (finally!) this month, so I'll better catch up with the previous ones...

I really like that Grant pays a lot of attention on how the kids have to deal with existential issues like fighting the hunger, raising small children and the like because this makes the story quite realistic despite all the supernatural stuff

This was more like a spy novel than a crime story but nonetheless pretty exciting and also very interesting. I wonder how much of this secret London is actually real...

#ReadTheGirl - It definitely was a good idea to reread this, I'm loving every minute so far!

The ending was not bad but overall this was way too superficial and I was especially disappointed by the time travel part.

The Ripper story is okay but the time travel part is a complete joke. It's so frustrating that you don't even get to know how they travel through time. In one chapter they are in the present, in the next in the year 1888 and so on...

Apparently the author has no intention to explain how time travel actually works in his story. Not good.

Goodreads, please allow half-star ratings! This is the 4th audiobook in a row where I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. 3 stars don't seem enough because it was never boring and the story was always interesting/exciting but I also don't think that it deserves 4 stars because the plot was often very unrealistic and quite a few things that seemed very unlikely.
