I didn't expect that I would be scared to death by this book but I'm actually a bit disappointed that it's not even a little bit creepy. Still an interesting read though.

Bring on the Gods!

Oh my... I was sure that this would be a 4-star-rating but then the last 30 minutes happened. I could live with two unpredictable plot twists towards the end but that was just ridiculous. And this book is definitely the winner in the category "Most redundant and unbelievable romance in a thriller".

Of course there's a Ouija board. If there's no Ouija board, it's not a real YA horror story... ^^

A very interesting read so far. The way the story deals with dissociative identity disorder feels very believable and the idea of not knowing what your own body does at night scares the shit out of me. But how on earth does Carly's/Kaitlyn's body ever get some sleep?

The story is over but there are still 100 minutes left - I have no idea what on earth could still happen :D

Damn it, you can't end the story at this point!

A) since I first laid my eyes on you B) for what feels like an eternity C) for twenty-four hours Come on guys, it's "real love", so it's obviously... C! (Seriously, Nora, shut the fuck up.)

WOAH, that was a helluva chapter! It felt like being sucked into a surreal nightmare, SO weird and SO intense!

So this guy handed almost every person he met so far at least 100 dollars but almost jumps out of a taxi because 60 bucks is too expensive. Yep, that totally makes sense.

So far Mr. Investigative Journalist hasn't made the tiniest bit of progress on his own but has lost approximately 255.000 $ because of his "investigations". Worst. Journalist. Ever.

Scott is definitely more likely to win the Pulitzer price than the "father of the year" award...

It's not exactly what I had expected but I really like it so far, especially with all the extra material.

Damn it, Fitzek! This book had a fair ending that was dramatic but not too much over the top, but you just had to add another plot twist that made it unbelievable again. I wanted to give 4 stars but now I have to think this through again... (btw: read the afterword & the acknowledgements. For several reasons.)

I find the topic more interesting than expected and the cliffhangers at the end of the chapters definitely work and keep me from taking a break. But I'm still afraid that the conclusion ends up to be completely ridiculous...

As usual there are a few things that make me roll my eyes because they are quite over the top but so far the story is quite thrilling and not as ridiculous as the last one.

Again it doesn't look like this is going to be a very realistic story but I have to admit that it's quite addictive already although nothing serious has happened so far.

I'm SO excited about this but I'm trying to keep my expectations low. Everything that's better than the awful "Passagier 23" should be regarded as a success :D

I'm still enjoying it a lot but I think the main plot in "The Diviners" was more exciting. I would love to read more about Project Buffalo and the like but in my opinion there's a bit too much focus on all the side plots right now.

I think it was a good choice to pick a Jeffery Deaver thriller without Lincoln Rhyme this time, the story seems less predictable so far.

Right now I think there are only two ways how this story could end: a) his annoying neighbors convince Ove not to kill himself and everybody is happy in the end b) after his annoying neighbors accidentally stop him from killing himself for the tenth time in a row, Ove snaps, kills everybody (including the cat) and can finally commit suicide in peace. I kinda hope it's b) :D

Topic of the very first conversation between Ove and his future wife: books. No wonder that they were happily married for decades... ^^

I really like how there's this one big story about the sleeping sickness but also the little stories that are behind every single character. That's what already made "The Diviners" so special and I'm glad that the sequel does it as well.

I can't help feeling a lot of schadenfreude for Evie having to accept the new "Sam situation". She totally deserved that :D
