God, I love the Forbidden Forest…

I had completely forgotten how short the book actually is. Everything is happening so fast, the story was definitely longer in my memories :D

This feels like reading the book and watching the movie at the same time. LOVE the illustrations! :)

I was a bit afraid that this wouldn't be a typical John Niven novel because it's about two old ladies but there has already been this guy who died from a stroke because he had a 60cm sex toy in his ass and now this 90-year-old nymphomaniac in a wheelchair is planning a bank robbery, so I guess there's no need to worry :D

If it continues to be like this then I'm sure it will become my favorite book in this series.

Robin and Strike are having their second-ever conversation about private stuff. I would say things are getting pretty serious between them :D

I MADE IT! I feel a bit sorry for the author because it seems like she put a lot of effort and research into her book but RUNA just didn't work for me. I was interested in the topic but couldn't relate to the characters and the story didn't succeed in keeping me reading at all. Also I find the ending quite unsatisfying…

I've been struggling with this book for more than 250 pages and had a hard time staying focused but now there was this murder where a woman was killed, her eyes got gouged out and the killer wrote a message with the fluid from her eyes and I'm like WHY DIDN'T YOU LET THIS HAPPEN 250 PAGES EARLIER??

Just bring pirates into the story and the book gets so much better right away

Dear author, could you please stop mentioning the MC's fucking cigar in every second sentence? I got it that he likes to smoke...

I don't really like the structure of this story. Mostly because I can't find it.

It's about time that I finally make some progress with this one, it has taking me already far too long to read the first half...

200 pages in and it feels like I'm still in the introductory part. I wouldn't mind if this would pick up some speed soon...

I'm shocked and disgusted by how people were apparently treated in 19th century asylums...

3.5 stars - I really enjoyed reading this and liked the narrative style a lot, but I'm currently wondering if I would have liked the book even more without the supernatural elements. The DID topic was very interesting and I think the story would have also worked as some kind of psychological thriller but without the "horror" elements which weren't scary at all and rather bored me instead of creeping me out.

So in this modern world full of gods Loki is the host of his own TV show in which people have to kill each other. Somehow that doesn't surprise me^^
