Man… you can tell an author is a grounded person coz their characters are! They remember to eat, they encourage each other to not rush, to be reasonable. Vs. In some books characters flit from one traumatic or violent event to another without water or sleep! In situations where there is access to food and water and the story doesn’t depend on them not sleeping! I’m so happy to be reading Elizabeth Moon again :)

I was gonna read The Power by Naomi Alderman but I'm going through tough times and realized I need my escapist fantasy as a small beacon of joy during this shit so I'm switching to this! :) Last year during a tough time I was reading the first of Brent Weeks' Lightbringer series and OMG do regret it! I avoided the book coz it was unfun but I wouldn't quit or let myself start another one. Ridiculous!

Gawd.... I have had to stop reading books at night... I stay up too late coz it's so hard to stop if its good! And this book totally is like the previous two in the trilogy! And I'm also in the middle of bingeing the TV show Krypton season 2 (about Superman's grandfather) and they're both so similar story! Tyrant vs tyrant trading brutal actions as our main characters struggle to find a middle ground and peace. :/ :)

Oyeh! My linear self can't handle reading multiple books at the same time! But when I read non-fiction books, I need a fiction book going for some pure fun. But this last few months... ack! :/ I was reading Patriarchy Stress Disorder, then started reading The Actor's Life. Then Long Way to a Small Angry Planet came in from the library so I had to rush that one! But 2/3 of those are done finally. I can breathe! ;)
