LOVING it so far!!! :)))

Ack. I thought this would be a slog, but I was curious and wanted to give it a try. And yeah I'm not enjoying it. :/ She writes like a sexist male author... shitty, bit-of-an-asshole male protagonist, who's obsessed with a beautiful, slight, petite woman who used to be a prostitute or slave or something.

My life finally got quieter after moving out and then back into our apartment the last couple of months. So I finally have time to read! Phew! So now I'm rushing to finish this book and read something lighter or funner!

Sigh.. this is really reminding me of Tolkien. When an author has created a world in such detail they can't stop boring you with how everything works in the middle of storytelling. I feel that detail should inform their writing, not be part of the story. I've been skipping paragraphs at a time coz of it. :(
