Seems very good so far. The name makes it sounds single purposed and simple. It's not. It also has some nice ideas and resources for organizations.

This first part is absolutely fascinating and gives a nice overview of what I'd call punctuated evolution of human thinking, and the resulting organizational forms. So far, this strikes me as a fantastic book. The forward was, well, long, and was very involved with foundational publications that are no doubt very good, but made me wonder whether the book would be as laborious to read. It is not.

The author has traits of high credibility; attempting to be very open. I appreciate that. As expected, the book is really disturbing, yet is a real part of our past, thus, I want to know. This is not the book to read if you want a cozy feel-good session.

Mark is 25% done with User Story Mapping: Discover the Whole Story, Build the Right Product
PLUS: GREAT way to learn about a project and where to start. Some great insights as to comparing views using simple backlogs to the deeper views offered by strong story mapping.

MINUS: Author seems to like to surprise the user, so uses language differently from what's expected, causing temporary disconnects that I find irritating, but tolerable for such a valuable technique.
