I am enjoying this and as of this 1990 story about 1888, we really feel time and world issues growing.

Emily is remarried! I did not anticipate another family wedding so soon but this is 1888 and this joy is a lovely addition.

Oh, how comforting immediately, to read more of Sylvia's humorous, straightforward, encouraging ideals! The word "serendipity" and being drawn where we need to be certainly rings true! This is the next book in publishing order, the way I like to read authors' work. I did not know it deals with grief. I only knew it would uplift me overall. You know I lost my Mom 3 months ago. This book is specifically helpful.

Old towns and people are well worth saving in records and being told about in stories and books. However this was not well told. It gets a two-star grade for choosing the driest, least memorable way of sharing this little-known history. It is not about the places being uninteresting. Telling us about them should have been handled better.

Lord, get me through this book. How could any writer or publisher have though it an interesting approach, to dwell on miles and sizes of things and places? For pete's sake, tell a story of what can be seen there today, or of the people who used to spend time there! Enough dry as toast facts, mathematical figures, measurements, costs, and distances. If some were falsely advertised towns but unlived in, skip those.

I don't like to say of Canadian geography: this is as dry as toast! However, I like toast. Elsie G. Turnbull should have named this: "The measurements of steamroller vessels, descriptions of towns in miles (kilometers in brackets, even though this is Canadian) and names of railroad and mining companies". She might as well have listed the towns. Repetition of those numbers, not the feel of towns, is what we get.

This is the sort of local or patriotic educational fare that I love to pick up at a bargain.

This is something very positive and necessary to our world, even before peculiar health developments. I will write a synopsis for the database record soon, to describe this inspiring and encouraging short book. Essentially: our planet is due to be at a higher vibration than it has achieved so far. There are spirit guides from the 11th dimension who have been waiting to help, for those who can meditate and listen.
