Can't believe the year is almost halfway up. You going to make a big push toward your goal this summer? I want to see you make it this year! The little "Completed" tag you get, though nominal, is still nifty.

Lol, I know, I'm so behind...I do have a few books that I've finished that I need to add, so it's not quite as bad as it looks. Moving and travelling have really taken a chunk out of my reading time. I'm still going to give this my best shot, though!
Great job! You made it!! Plan on taking a break the last few days of the year? What did you think of Ender's Game? That series gets kind of complicated after the first book...
Nah, I'm already starting The Worm Ouroboros, though I know I won't have time to finish it before the 1st. :P I adore Ender's Game. This was my second or third time reading it, and it really holds up to rereads. My favorite of the Ender's Game series is Children of the Mind, though. I've not read all of the Ender's Shadow series yet, but it's on my list.
Is there a way on goodreads to denote that a book you've read is a re-read without having you undo or overwrite a previous "read date?" If so, I haven't found it yet. I've probably read Ender four or five times. I think there's a book or two of the Shadow series I haven't read either, but only because they weren't yet written when I was on my Ender kick. I both want to see and dread to see the movie. My first thought after seeing the trailer was, "Assuming this is successful, how are they going to sell an audience on a nonlinear sequel?" It doesn't exactly lend itself to a general, kid-friendly, and vanilla American film audience.
Is it weird that when I read that you wrote Children of the Mind, I thought of Children of Dune, and they intermingled in my mind? That would be an interesting crossover. Ender meets Paul.
Me neither, though I was just thinking it would be a very nice feature to have. I guess I could create a "re-read" shelf, but that just seems clumsy.I've also been scared to see the movie, though I will do so when it comes to the cheap seats (I missed it at the regular theaters). I've heard some positive and some negative reviews from fans of the book, so I'm not really sure what to expect.
Interesting crossover indeed! What happens when two saviors meet? There's a story idea for you...
