That was very, very cool. My first time reading Marie Lu is undoubtedly a success, even if it took me a shockingly long time to finish the book. That's just my personal life getting in the way. But I didn't for a second consider giving up on t

The Giver is somewhat of a classic, and I get it. I get why. You should note that this book skews a little younger - I would definitely say middle grade, also because the main character is 12 years old for most of the novel. And obviously it c

That was DELIGHTFUL. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised by how awesome and amazing this book is. At the same time, I shouldn't be, because to upgrade Pride & Prejudice with DRAGONS means adding awesome to something already awesome!

It took me like almost two months, but I did read it. That's not to say this book is bad, but life has just gotten away from me.

I really enjoyed this book! I love Japan, so having a book set in a fantasy setting based on that culture is aw

That was cute! Not fantastic, but definitely not boring. Cute. I have always been more like one of the guys, my best friend is a guy, and I like reading about situations and friend groups like that. Although, in this book the changing dynamics

Oh my god that was sooooooooooooo boringggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

I can't even. How. How is this book so boring. It's Neil Gaiman. It should be magical and fantastical and absorbing and compelling. And I was bored out of my mind.

Like, I

“I'm supposed to push a loose strand of hair out of your face, then let my hand linger on your cheek, or isn't that how, like, every other kissing scene in those books you read goes?" He gently tucked that piece of hair behind my ear and let his fingers slide down to tilt my chin up until my eyes met his. "Well?”

“Expecting someone?" I tease, as if Connor's not here just about every night she isn't at his grad dorm.
"Not if I don't finish my homework," she says, picking the pen back up and tapping the course packet with it. "Even when he's not my teacher, Connor's a pain in my ass."
"They make lube for that, you know."
"Get out.”

“Get up, Shahrzad al-Khayzuran. You kneel before no one. Least of all me.”

“What are you imagining? Your expression is filthy.”

“Strangling you. Bare hands.” I can barely get the words out. I’m huskier than a phone-sex operator after a double shift.

“So that’s your kink.” His eyes are going dark.

“Only where you’re concerned.”

Both his eyebrows ratchet up, and he opens his mouth as his eyes go completely black, but he does not seem to be able to say a word.

It is wonderful.”
Sally Thorne, The Hating Game

Patrick Ness
“Feelings don't try to kill you, even the painful ones. Anxiety is a feeling grown too large. A feeling grown aggressive and dangerous. You're responsible for its consequences, you're responsible for treating it.'re not responsible for causing it. You're not morally at fault for it. No more than you would be for a tumor.”
Patrick Ness, The Rest of Us Just Live Here
