I was aware of the legend of the Mothman--a giant winged humanoid rumored to haunt an abandoned WWII munitions site in Point Pleasant West Virginia--but didn't know all of the details. Once I started researching the legend, I found that there was so much more intertwined with the myth, including a tragic catastrophe that forever scarred Point Pleasant.

The Silver Bridge, an old suspension bridge connecting the town to Gallipolis Ohio, collapsed during the height of rush hour traffic in December 1967. This resulted in 38 cars plummeting into the icy water of the Ohio River or falling onto dry land where they were buried in debris. The collapse of the Silver Bridge is still considered one of the worst bridge catastrophes in U.S. history.

I was so moved by the story that I knew I had to combine the elements into a novel. I've actually visited the town of Point Pleasant twice while doing research for A THOUSAND YESTERYEARS, the first book in the Point Pleasant series and hope to return again. (less)

I'm so glad you connected with the Mothman in A Cold Tomorrow. I've had numerous readers tell me how badly they felt for him after reading the book. The final book in the series, A Desolate Hour, releases in July and is already available for pre-order. I can't say how the story ends, but I'm delighted you took the time to voice your opinions of my novel. Thank you!
:)

It would be very helpful to me as an author if you could leave a short review on Amazon when you have a moment. And I hope you'll stick around for the conclusion in A Desolate Hour and see how everything ends up!(less)
