Christine Mae, this is so interesting to me. My mom was born in Middleport, Ohio, just across the river from Point Pleasant. I spent countless summers and Christmas vacations in Middleport. I also followed my grandfather around on his hobby farm near Point Pleasant. My dad worked in those munition sites during the war. He boarded with my mom's family, which is how a New York City boy ended up marrying a southern Ohio small town girl. My mom's brother Bob and sister-in-law lived in Gallipolis, and Bob crossed the Silver Bridge 30 minutes before it fell. I remember that day very well. Though I am not normally a reader of supernatural stories, I must get your book!

Mae Clair Christine, thanks for sharing all this information. I had a chill when I read about Bob crossing the Silver Bridge 30 minutes before it fell. That's amazing. Also, that you remember the day so well.

My father grew up in a small Ohio town called Lucky. While writing A Thousand Yesteryears (and other books in the series, I was able to visit Point Pleasant twice to do research. I got to visit the TNT, but I'm sure the munition site was much different when your father worked there.

Thank you for your interest in the book. I worked hard to capture the small town feel of Point Pleasant. Although, the novel is a supernatural thriller/mystery, I think you'll find other elements that appeal :)

Christine Thanks for your wonderful response, Mae. I am primarily a thriller reader, so I am sure I will enjoy A Thousand Yesteryears! Will write you a review too.
