Archbishop Lang was once tactless enough to suggest that he supposed a famous scientist had no time for reading. Rutherford immediately felt that he was being regarded as an ignorant roughneck. He produced a formidable list of his last month’s reading. Then, half innocently, half malevolently: "And what do you manage to read, your Grice?"
I am afraid", said the Archbishop, somewhat out of his depth, "that a man in my position doesn't really have the leisure..."

I've attempted delving into Ulysses several times now, to no great avail. But I'm moving back up to school today, selecting which books to use as antidote to what the "humanities" professors will try to impress upon me (before I am to attempt my fate-entwined jump across the chasm into the sciences, إن شاء الل), opened the opus to a random page and was instantaneously and wildly consumed by laughter of a most uproarious nature; and I was by no means even processing the text thoroughly! I was just enraptured by laughter. Urrrrghhhh, I lost the page. But just thought if anybody would be able to grok with me on this lil anecdote here, it'd be you ;).
