Our newest book is Haunted Noble County, Indiana:

Noble County, Indiana, boasts small town charm, a State Park and lakes for recreation lovers, tourist attractions all year long … and ghosts.

The county’s only movie theater is patrolled by the well-known manager—who died in 1995. Two of the highest hills in the state are haunted, one after a hanging and another because of a murder immortalized by Indiana’s poet laureate. The sprawling Kneipp Sanitarium received a visit from the Virgin Mary herself, and became a battleground of good vs. evil. Then there’s The Thing in the Basement.

Join authors and historians Mark and Emily Hunter as they tour the dark and spooky corners of Noble County.

Update on Hoosier Hysterical II: The Sequel

The last thing I thought would happen with Hoosier Hysterical II: Crying Out for a Subtitle is that I would run out of space.

Yet a few days ago my planned 53,000 word manuscript for Hoosier Hysterical II: The Wrath of Corn hit 59,610 words. This is a problem. I wanted it to be close to the length of the original Hoosier Hysterical: How the West Became the Midwest Without Moving At All. I also want Read more of this blog post »

It turns out I made a bit of an accounting error, and my concern over the new book's word count is REALLY justified. Surprisingly, I'm not all that worried about it.

On the way home from work Saturday I took some pictures of the Chain O' Albion Chain O' Lakes Festival. I didn't expect them to come out well, and they won't win prizes, but I like the way the color came through.
