My name is Robert Duperre, and I live in the middle of Connecticut with my artist wife, who's far too good for me, and a rambunctious mutt of a dog. As a lover of romance, cosmic horror, fantasy, and science fiction, I'm a writer who can't seem to stick in any particular genre. The only true constant is that I write what I'd want to read.

I've published more than a dozen novels and two short story collections. Included in my work is the 4-book post-apocalyptic series The Rift, the 5-book urban fantasy series The Infinity Trials, and the 3-part dark fantasy series The Breaking World (written with David Dalglish), along with the one-shot science fiction novel Silas, among a few others.

Oh man, learn me to not check my Goodreads! Hey there, Roneshua, the person who gave me probably my favorite review ever!

For the series itself, my rough plan is anywhere from 15-20 books. I have 17 mapped out. Might be too many, though it's always possible I'll end up running long-winded. I do have an end-game, mind you. But I planned on something this long because I have a tendency to fall in love with side stories. So I just figured, why not just write a whole series that's a bunch of interconnected side stories? Y'know?

For the physically pubbed part, unfortunately Zon is it. I've looked at other physical-book distributors, but it's not cost effective, in either time or cash. I make very little money with my writing, so a lot is financed through my day job. It's definitely something to look at a little deeper in the future, though.

(BTW, If you'd like a physical book, let me know! I'd gladly send you one.)

Finally - would you be interested in reading an advanced copy of book 2? It should be ready in the next week or so. If you are, just shoot me a Goodreads message and we can set that up.

Again, thank you, Roneshua. You're fantastic!(less)

Yes, there will be a 3rd book, titled "Lost in the Shadows". It's finished as of right now, other than a few final post-edit proofs that I'm waiting on. My original goal was to have it available for August, but that's being pushed back at the moment, due to financial concerns (I need to pay for artwork). However, my hope is that I'll put it up for sale by the end of September, and then have book 4 (which is *this close* to being completed) released on Halloween.

In other words, it won't be long. I promise.(less)

Reading time!

First of all, for those of you who want updates on the status of "God in the Girl" and the end of The Infinity Trials, please hold tight. I'll have a post detailing the progress of that book soon.

Until then... who loves reading? We all do! So I wanted to take a few moments to rave about the books I've read over the last few months. The first of these I started in April; the last I finished literal Read more of this blog post »

This is a great freaking book. I don't know how anyone could think any different. It makes creative use of genre tropes, flipping them around and creating something new.

If anyone doesn't get that, well...they're a maroon.

“His relationship history followed this same pattern. Two months represented a lengthy attachment for him, the point when he became either uninterested or irritated by how much of his free time was spent kneading the emotions and desires of someone else rather than his own.”
― Robert J. Duperre, The Rift: Volume One

J.M. (Joe) I really dig how you review books with a five-score grading system to average out! That's much more thorough than how I do it. I may have to adopt your system.
