there seem to be two camps of people, those who rave about this book and those who say they can’t get past the bad writing. jury’s still out on where i fall, but so far i don’t think it’s that bad. the prose isn’t exactly smooth (i’m comparing it to TRC and it falls short) but i’d say it’s about as readable as If We Were Villains or a well-written Wattpad story. it’s kind of like a bootleg Raven Boys, which i can honestly deal with—i’m rooting for it just because i’ve heard enough good things/comparisons to TRC
