"Later, when you are no longer there, you realize that you cherish those streets, those roofs, windows, doors, you need those walls; that those trees are favourites of yours, those houses never entered you entered every day, and that you have left behind on those cobbles something of your heart, and your blood, your soul" Aug 02, 2015 04:03PM

Each chapter took forever to engage me. Once it finally did, the atmosphere took over. Most chapters could have been a lot shorter. And most seemed to follow the same pattern

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
"
*** For those who somehow have no idea about what happens in The Little Prince or cannot figure it out at a reasonable spot in the book, here is a warning - THERE WILL BE, as much as I hate applying this term to this incredibly famous classic that..." Read more of this review »

Like Siddhartha, but a helluva lot easier to follow. Story of the fox is what you answer when someone asks you the meaning of life. That's it, pure & simple

Virginia Woolf
“I am reading six books at once, the only way of reading; since, as you will agree, one book is only a single unaccompanied note, and to get the full sound, one needs ten others at the same time.”
Virginia Woolf, The Letters of Virginia Woolf: Volume Three, 1923-1928

John Cheever
“I can’t write without a reader. It’s precisely like a kiss—you can’t do it alone.”
John Cheever

Thomas Wolfe
“Make your mistakes, take your chances, look silly, but keep on going. Don’t freeze up.”
Thomas Wolfe, You Can't Go Home Again

“What can I say? I'm like a playground water fountain, I live to wet people's pants.”
Frances Winkler

“I don't mean like balls-in-your-face or gifts of pornography and butt plugs romantic, just cute, over-the-pants, PG-13 movie stuff.”
Frances Winkler
