"Page 99 means I’ve now read Red Shadows, the first REH story that he wrote of the character, and is another great adventure that takes Solomon across the world to avenge those who have been wronged. The next story Rattle of Bones I have already read in the Horror Stories collection, followed by 2 fragments that don’t need much comment on. "Just finished the next unfinished story, The Coming of El Borak. Probably my least favourite REH story I’ve read so far, and can see why it wasn’t finished. This one felt a bit messy with a large number of characters without much distinction, making it difficult to follow at times. Though it really shows what Howard had in mind for the character in what would become a fully fledged El Borak." — Sep 17, 2025 01:37PM
