“Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.”

Greetings Ed,It's always great to meet another author. The song that plays on your site is one I'm familiar with. That was fun. BTW you don't look old enough to have a hit song in 1964.
Your novel sounds interesting too. I'm also an author publicist if you are ever interested in trying some of our services. http://www.promotionalacarte.com And good luck in all your writing projects. We work hard at our craft but luck is always welcome!
I used to act in our church drama troupe. It was a large church and each of our performances was before about 1500 people. That was fun but the extent of my acting experience.
I saw on your site that you are interested in digital photography. Me too. I'm in a few galleries nationwide. Here's my main site: http://www.cielosrojos.com and the Scottsdale gallery has some of my stuff here: http://www.xanadugallery.com/Art/Arti...
All my photography is in New Mexico at present but I'm in process of moving to a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains very soon. (I HAVE to be in the mountains no matter what state I live in)
It's nice to meet you too. Have the best day ever. Ag
P.S. Agnes was a nickname (actually a code name) I used in the 7th grade, and when I ran away from home in 1969 I used it rather than my real name and it got shortened to lil Aggie and it stuck!
Thanks for accepting my friend request, Aggie. You seem like an interesting person, as well as quite a prolific and accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.Regards, and have a great day, Ed
p.s. My Mom's name was Aggie, but she preferred Agnes.

Shawnette, it is great to "meet" you here. Thankx for your encouragement, and right back atcha kiddo! You have the best day ever.
Hello, Aggie...thanks for the invite into your circle of friends...CONGRATS on your writings...and good luck...looking forward to sharing chats, reviews and any/all recommendations...have a blessed weekend...and Happy Reading & Writing :-)
I'm happy to meet you, Beth!Beth wrote: "Hi Aggie,

Hi, Aggie.Did you get a chance to read The Little Black Fish? I see that I have attracted some attention from the group members. I am looking forward to your comments considering that although the book is for children yet, the author has wonderfully inserted messages in the story which shows a path only uderstandable by advanced readers and adults (in most cases).
I see many discussions posted for different books listed in this category and they are great discussions. But none asked me this question: "How can a children's book have "political" contents and be "banned?" Please tell me what you think.
Thanks a lot,
Thankx so much, Donald. And the same to you in everything. I'm enjoying meeting the great people here.
Greetings to you Aggie. Yes, Cindy does get around!!! I'd love to have you check out my free ebooks at www.DonaldJamesParker.com
Take care and best of luck to you and your writing.
Don
Just found PROJECT GUTENBERG: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_PageA marvelous resource that rounds up the world's free public domain books and makes them freely available as e-texts that you can download. Although you won't find the latest bestsellers here, (or any books still in copyright), you will find a treasure trove of classic books, from authors like Shakespeare, Poe, Dante, Lewis Carroll, and thousands of others.
Hi Aggie, Many thanks for the friend add. Best for your interesting books. Have a great week and a healthy 2009.Ed
Hi Marla. I'm glad to hear from you. Others in the educational system have said identical things. I so agree about the truly dedicated teachers. God, we need them, but their hands are so tied. It must be such a frustration to them. I believe in learning with all my heart. Everything I've ever done is self-taught, but that still means "learning." I love it and will never stop doing it, but I was forced to do it on my own.
Please feel free to write at anytime. It's wonderful to meet you here.
Hi Aggie,You got me at "70’s I turned my back on our educational system as I became increasingly aware of its purposeful destruction of creative intelligence. I am in full agreement with the philosophy of “the longer they teach you, the dumber you get.”
I work in the educational system and I soooo agree with you! But in another way also.
The dedicated teachers are constantly trying to find time to fit in plays, art of any kind, choir, anything that stimulates creativity. It makes me so sad to watch the f***ing educational system try to make our children into little robots. Yes education is needed, yes certain subjects need to be taught, and some teachers need to be reviewed... but balance it all out for crying out loud. At this point all I can say is that I am SO GLAD I grew up when we had that balance. I may not be the sharpest tack in the box but the ability to be creative made me strong. Being hammered with tests would have done me in a long time ago.
Thankx so much, Ilyn. I've bookmarked your sites. I also got an exceelent answer from author, Dan Heller, that I posted in my Blog. If anyone wants to hear his advice it's at: http://blog.aggiev.org/2009/01/09/dan...Have the best day ever!
Hello Aggie,How are you? Thank you for accepting my friend-request. Goodfortune on your books. I wish you a Healthy, Happy, & Prosperous 2009.
