Just finished an out of genre read. The Last Dog on Earth by Adrian J. Walker.A bit hard to classify this book, some readers have classified it as science fiction, but only because it is set 3 years in the future.
If goodreads allowed, I would give this 4.5 stars, but had to make do with 4. It is the story of a flawed man trying to survive in a time of trouble. It is told from two POV, the man and his foul mouthed dog. Funny (the dog told bits), dark, and relevant to our times, would recommend for a bit of out of genre reading, BUT warning, the dog really is foul mouthed.

Just finished The House of Unexpected Sisters by Alexander McCall Smith
I always enjoy these gentle tales, but was pleased to find that this volume had a little more substance to the story line then some of the others. 4 stars
