PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments I just enjoyed another trip to Prague in A Second Death by Graham Brack, featuring my favourite Czech detective, Josef Slonský, and his police 'family'. The crimes are nasty, but the people are great!

Sara | 5 comments Hey Patty! Yeah, I saw your review and I must say that your words of persuasion had a hand in covincing me to read it, among rewatching the movie of which I loved. Have you seen the film? Xoxo :D Take care Patty! ;)

Sara | 5 comments Hey Phrynne! I have a mind to go check out your review now... but on my half the story is progressing very well. Everytime I read it, there are just periods of my being absolutely mesmerised. Have you seen the film? What did you think of the changes they made to it?

PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments I thought I'd revisit James Bond in Ian Fleming's first Bond adventure, Casino Royale. The rakish spy may have done OK with SMERSH, but he wouldn't have survived #MeToo.

Joss (jossdi) | 23 comments My thoughts on The Suspect While I had heard a lot about this book, I must say I really didn't like the writing style. The shortish chapters made the book a little busy. However I thought the storyline was good. How many kids set out on the dream trip, only for things to quickly spin out of control.

PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments I enjoyed a change of mystery pace with Alexander McCall Smith's second book in the #1 Ladies' Detective Agency series, Tears of the Giraffe. Warm, funny characters in warm, sunny Botswana. (Some dodgy people, too. It IS a detective agency.)
