Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Police at the Funeral by Margery Allingham - #4 in the Albert Campion series, a between the wars golden age of crime series.

Light spirited, country house families, clever if slightly odd private detective - a formula of the times. I enjoy this series enough to keep going with it, but not so much that it goes to the top of my TBR - so may never get through the whole series, but will continue to fit them into my challenges where I can!

Police at the Funeral (Albert Campion Mystery #4) by Margery Allingham ★★★

Brooke - One Woman's Brief Book Reviews (onewomansbbr) | 785 comments Just posted my review for A Simple Favour: Film Tie-In by Darcey Bell.
2.5 stars from me - one of those few occasions where the movie was better than the book I feel!

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Beware This Boy by Maureen Jennings. #2 in a series, and like the first ★★★

Set in war time Britain, a good story, but a bit put-down-able.

The Gray and Guilty Sea (Garrison Gage, #1) by Scott William Carter ★★★

I always find it hard to say anything about 3 star reads - which is I guess what makes them 3 star reads. Nothing wrong with them, but just didn't grab me particularly.

Angela Verdenius (angelacatlover) | 67 comments Ooohh, I'm currently reading the Dead Cold mystery series. The author is an indie author (pretty sure), and I'm just loving the series. I've just finished Gardened of the Damned (Dead Cold Mystery, #3) by Blake Banner and I'm now on Let Us Prey (Dead Cold Mystery, #4) by Blake Banner

Angela I have had the first one of this series on my Kindle for about 12 months, but haven't been able to fit it in to a challenge to read, and I am in so many challenges that I rarely have time to read anything not on the list! I nominated it for a group read, but it didn't win that one. Seeing your posts made me determined to fit it in somewhere, so bring on the summer challenge, its on the list! :)

I can see that would be a problem! I don't do the challenges as I have a hard enough time fitting in reading time. Plus, I have so many books I want to read on my kindle that I choose, I couldn't just push them aside to read other books!!! I'd be cheating ROTFL
