message 108: by Anne (new)

Anne | 274 comments Final tally:

Read-a-thon Summary:
Finished:
Cinnamon Roll Murder (150 pages)

In Progress before read-a-thon:
The Origin of Species (26 pages)

Started:
The Other Lands (73 pages)
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (39 pages)
Queen of the Darkness (265 pages)

Total Pages Read: 553

I'm rather disappointed in my total. I knew it was going to be tough to get a lot read because it was only my second week at a new job, but I was still hoping to do better than that.

16 Books, that is pretty awesome! Any idea, how many pages you read?

@anne - 500 pages is still a good accomplishment

I guess, but it's actually a little below average for me. I am so behind on my library books that I was hoping to read 1000+. It's more about expectations vs. reality than anything.

Thanks! About 5ooo pages. I don't usually count pages just books. I was trying to catch up. I did't do to bad considering I had to pick fruit and make jam.I was hoping to spen the entire week just reading(that didn't happen, maybe next time).

Nancy H | 561 comments Final count:

Finished during RAT:
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks finished last 158p.
Ship Breaker - 323p.
The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection - 257p.
10th Anniversary - 395p.
Georgia Bottoms - 278p.
What Color Is Your Jockstrap? - during RAT, 194p.
The Fourth Man - 276p.
Aunt Dimity and the Village Witch - 232p.

Started during RAT, but not finished:
Crunch Time - 42p.
Cherry Bomb - 58p.

Total pages: 2,143

Best reading day: Tuesday - finished 3 books that day and read over 600+ pages
Worst reading day: Wednesday - only read 104p.
My goal was to read at least 7 books and at least 2,000 pages, and I read 8 books and 2,143 pages. I am pleased with what I got done this week.

message 116: by Heather (Heatso) (last edited Jul 28, 2012 10:12PM) (new)

Heather (Heatso) (hyperweather) | 20 comments Finished:
Fifty Shades Darker - finished last 438p.
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian - finished last 176p.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vol. 1: The Long Way Home - 136p.
Fifty Shades Freed - 579p.
Sh*t My Dad Says - 3 hours 7 min.

Made Progress:
Most Talkative - 1 hour 43 min.

Total: 1,347 pages and 4 hours and 50 minutes

For my first RAT I think I did incredibly well for me. I'm not a fast reader and would actually consider myself a slow reader so I set lots of goals just to give myself variety not expecting to get anywhere near finishing, and finished all but 1, and that 1 is one I am struggling to listen to so its just super slow going.

Firelight (last 258 pages)

Not my best, but better than I thought I was going to do.
